What does defense vs position mean for player props?
It is what a defense has allowed to one position per game, such as receiving yards to wide receivers. A defense that allows a lot to a position is a softer matchup for that position's overs.
Which NFL defenses are the softest matchups right now?
Over the last 5: Detroit Lions vs QBs (320.0 passing yards), New Orleans Saints vs RBs (133.4 rushing yards), Jacksonville Jaguars vs WRs (203.8 receiving yards), and Detroit Lions vs TEs (109.0 receiving yards).
How is defense vs position calculated?
We add up each position group's box-score stats against a defense in every regular-season game, then average those game totals over the defense's last 5 games and the full season. Preseason games and players who did not play are left out.
