What it connects to
Two read-only tools, the same data the site renders.
get_prop_edges- Every player prop where a prediction market or exchange is beating the best sportsbook price, de-vigged and ranked. Filter by sport and market.
get_team_trends- How often a team has beaten the team-level betting markets this season — spread, total and moneyline.
The server address
One URL. Paste it exactly — no trailing slash, no spaces.
https://mcp.beatvig.com/mcpSigning in is OAuth: the connector opens beatvig.com, you authorize it once, and it reads the board as you. It needs the Premium AI add-on on your account — add it on the Premium page.
Connect Claude
claude.ai — Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise.
- Open claude.ai, click your name bottom-left, then Settings.
- Under Customize, open Connectors, then click Add at the top right.
- Name it BeatVig and paste the server URL above into Remote MCP server URL.
- Click Continue. Leave the authentication options Claude has already marked Detected exactly as they are, then click Add.
- Click Connect. The tab moves to beatvig.com — sign in if you are not already — then click Authorize.
- Start a chat and ask one of the questions above. The first time Claude reaches for a BeatVig tool it asks permission; choose Always allow.
Connect ChatGPT
chatgpt.com — a paid plan (Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise) is required.
Step zero: turn on Developer mode.
ChatGPT will not let you add a custom connector at all until Developer mode is on. Open Settings → Security and login, scroll to the very bottom and switch Developer mode on. OpenAI shows a blanket elevated-risk warning there for any connector it has not reviewed; BeatVig's tools are read-only, so the connector can read the board and nothing else.
- In Settings, click Plugins in the left-hand list — MCP servers live under Plugins now.
- Close Settings, click Plugins in the main left-hand menu, then click the + button beside the search box.
- Name it BeatVig. Leave Connection on Server URL and paste the server URL above.
- Leave Authentication on OAuth — BeatVig has to know whose account is asking.
- Tick I understand and want to continue, click Create, then Sign in with BeatVig and Authorize.
- In a new chat, click the + at the left of the message box, switch BeatVig on for that chat, and ask away.
Menu names move between releases. If the wording has drifted, the parts that matter are the server URL and the Authorize button. Claude and ChatGPT are products of Anthropic and OpenAI; BeatVig is not affiliated with either.
BeatVig AI access — FAQ
What is the BeatVig MCP server?
It is a read-only connector that lets an AI assistant query BeatVig's live prop prices and edges directly. The address is https://mcp.beatvig.com/mcp and it speaks the Model Context Protocol, so anything that supports MCP can use it.
Which AI assistants can connect to BeatVig?
Anything that supports MCP custom connectors, including Claude and ChatGPT on their paid plans. ChatGPT additionally requires Developer mode to be switched on before a custom connector can be added.
Does AI access cost extra?
Yes. It is an add-on to BeatVig Premium — tick MCP Access at checkout on the Premium page, or add it to an existing subscription there.
Can the connector place bets for me?
No. Every BeatVig tool is read-only, and BeatVig is a price-comparison site that accepts no wagers and holds no funds. The connector can read the board and nothing else.
What data does the connector return?
Live player-prop edges where a prediction market or exchange beats the best sportsbook price, and team-level market trends by season. It is the same data the BeatVig site renders.
